Erie County Sheriff's Office: "Table slamming is not permitted"

The Buffalo Bills home opener is Sunday, here is everything you need to know if you're heading to New Era Field to see Josh Allen start his first NFL game. 

The Erie County Sheriff's Office has announced important times affecting traffic in the area of the stadium:

8 a.m. - Abbott Road closes to traffic between the entrance to Lot 4 and Lot 2, all through traffic will be diverted. Drivers will be able to access private lots on Abbott Road from the south.

9 a.m. - New Era Field parking lots open. A reminder from the Sheriff's Office, they will be focusing on eliminating excessive alcohol consumption and checking for glass bottles. Fans and tailgaters are reminded that the Fan Code of Conduct, extends to the parking lots.

The Sheriff's Office has stated that table slamming is not permitted and violators will be ejected and could face criminal charges.

11:30 a.m. - New Era Field gates open and the new ticket policy is in place. Learn more about the ticket policy here. Visit www.buffalobills.com for information on permitted items and clear bag policy.

4 p.m. - Big Tree Road (Route 20a) will be closed to westbound traffic from Abbott Road to the Route 219 overpass. All vehicles leaving the stadium and private lots along Big Tree must travel east.
