Erie County is beefing up its snow removal fleet and salt reserves to handle whatever is coming our way, this week.
The county's fleet of 40 snow plows were tested this weekend and 25,000 tons of salt are ready for pick up.
County Executive Mark Poloncarz says more salt was ordered this year, after the county used nearly 20,000 tons more salt in 2013, than what was ordered.
Bottom line, Poloncarz says, crews are ready for the major snowfall, expected this week.
