Chautauqua County deputies are investigating a serious crash in the Town of Pomfret.
It happened on Route 60, just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday. Deputies say the driver of a car, 41-year-old Jeffrey Camp, was traveling on Route 60 and crossed the yellow lines. Camp was going southbound, but wound up in the northbound lanes.
After crossing into oncoming traffic, deputies say Camp hit a double tractor trailer.
Camp was flown to Hamot Hospital in Erie, P.A. His condition is unknown.
The driver of the tractor trailer denied treatment at the scene. Deputies say he had minor injuries.
Route 60 was closed for some time because of this crash.
Deputies have not said what caused Camp to cross into the other lane. The crash remains under investigation.
