The Erie County Sheriff's Office has welcomed two new dogs into its Pups at the Pen program.
The dogs will be socialized and trained by inmates at the Erie County Correctional Facility for 4-8 weeks, and will then be adopted to familes through the Erie County SPCA. Gatson, an 18-month-old retriever mix and Dino, a 4 1/2-year-old terrier mix will work with the inmates.
Since the start of the program, eight dogs have graduated and found new homes with loving families.
