BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Wegmans announced earlier this week it was teaming up with Buffalo Bills cornerback Josh Norman in support of the Buffalo Business Blitz.

The Buffalo Business Blitz was created by Norman in partnership with the City of Buffalo to help small businesses in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Norman announced an initial donation of $25,000, his goal is $1 million with $2,500 going to each business that applies.

Wegmans donated 100% of the proceeds from all Meals 2GO orders placed on the Wegmans Meals 2Go app in Erie and Niagara counties on January 5th and 6th for a total donation of $135,000.

"I am overwhelmed by the support shown by this community," said Josh Norman, "The Buffalonians are incredible with their love for the team and their generosity. They truly came through in a big way."

“In true Buffalo fashion, the community rallied around a worthy cause, in support of local businesses,” said Mike Keating, Sr. VP. Wegmans, Buffalo. “Small businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic, and the Buffalo Business Blitz will help many keep their doors open.”
