HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — Most of Erie County moved into the yellow precautionary zone last week.

The designation means that in order for schools to continue in-person learning, districts have to test 20 percent of both students and staff for COVID-19.

That guidance in-part forced some districts to move to remote learning.

Michael Cornell, the superintendent of Hamburg Schools and President of the Buffalo Niagara Superintendents Association, says he believes districts are trying everything they can to keep in person learning in place.
