BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — On Thursday, Erie County Medical Center began providing COVID-19 vaccinations to first responders.
Last week ECMC began their COVID-19 vaccinations for their workers on the frontlines.
AMR paramedic Tony Costello was the first EMS provider vaccinated at ECMC.
EMS Medical Director Dr. Brian Clemency said, “EMS has been on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic since the
very start. The unique nature of EMS puts these providers at increased risk, and makes vaccinating EMS providers
against COVID-19 critically important.”
