EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A spokesperson for Tops Markets has confirmed an employee at the East Aurora location has tested positive for COVID-19.
The associate has not been to work since April 10, according to Tops.
Tops says Erie County officials have not notified the company of any other mandatory or suggested quarantine of other individuals or employees.
The statement goes on to say:
"As a precaution we are having the store deep cleaned, ("hospital cleaned"), in addition to our normal cleaning and sanitation procedures..."
The spokesperson added that the store is set to be deep cleaned after close of business Thursday night.
An employee at Tops corporate office tested positive last month.
