Tops confirms coronavirus case at corporate office in Williamsville

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Tops Friendly Markets says one of its workers at its corporate offices in Williamsville has tested positive for coronavirus.

Tops says it first found out late Saturday night.

According to a spokesperson, the employee is under self-quarantine at a personal residence, and last reported to work on Monday, March 9th.

Tops says the employee was in a non-retail position and did not have contact with anyone outside the corporate office.

The employee did not have any contact with Tops stores, warehouses, or any other Tops facility.

Tops has taken steps to work in open communication with the Erie County Department of Health and worked to sanitize the corporate office before opening hours, Monday.
