If you use NY Route 400 Expressway, or to most "the 400" you're going to need to plan on some extra time behind the wheel.

Thursday, starting at 9 a.m. the 400 northbound, going towards the city, will be closed from Exit 16 (Seneca Street) and Interstate 90 (Downtown Buffalo/Niagara Falls).
This is how the New York State Department of Transportation says detours will be handled:
Traffic to Interstate 90 will be directed to exit at NY Route 277 (Union Road) and will then be directed to follow two separate detours using Union Road to William Street for Interstate 90 eastbound traffic, or Union Road to Seneca Street to Ridge Road for Interstate 90 westbound traffic. The road is expected to re-open on Monday, July 11 by 6:00 a.m.
