Two women were arrested after police say they stole meds from a woman whose house they were cleaning.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old Jaclyn Martin of Amherst and 23-year-old Miranda Schmidt of Kenmore were hired to clean a Buffalo woman's house. The woman's son told police he noticed large quantities of his mother's medication was missing, and he captured the two stealing the medication on a home security camera.
The son contacted the sheriff's office and the two women were arrested. Martin is charged with felony tampering with physical evidence and two separate counts of misdemeanor conspiracy and petit larceny. She was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center and will appear in court October 24th.
Schmidt was charged with petit larceny and conspiracy. She was taken to the holding center and released on bail.
