What better time to meet up with Lisa Menchetti, the "Queen of nail polish" in Western New York, than on National Nail Polish Day? A few years ago Lisa thought it would be a good idea to whip at her own nail polish-at home, explaining "I bought a bunch of different components and started mixing it myself just in my kitchen."

Lisa doesn't make the products in the kitchen anymore and her company Gridlock Lacquer is sold locally in more than a dozen stores including Buffalo Adore where owner Andrea Kleinfelder say "people love it."

Gridlock Lacquer offers more than two dozen colors with clever names in their Buffalo line including 716, peace bridge and chicken wing" Lisa admits that naming the different colors is her favorite part.

Now that her company has conquered Buffalo, Lisa is expanding her product to other cities including Rochester, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, Detroit and Pittsburgh.

You can get more information including a list of retailers at the Gridlock Lacquer website.
