The bishop of Buffalo will be blessing animals this weekend in honor of the upcoming Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
Bishop Richard Malone will welcome all animals on the lawn of his home at 77 Oakland Place at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1. Anyone is welcome to bring an animal to be blessed.
The blessing of the animals is an annual custom in the Church, and celebrates the love that St. Francis of Assisi had for creation.
