How do you think the New York State Thruway Authority and Department of Transportation handled Winter Storm Knife?

That's what New York State Assemblyman Sean Ryan wants to know, after the snow storm closed down the 90 for days.

It is estimated that over 150 vehicles were stranded on the thruway during the storm.

State officials said this wouldn't happen after another storm closed the thruway back in 2010.

Multiple changes were made leading up to the November storm, including the addition of new gates in front of thruway on-ramps.

Assemblyman Ryan wants the State DOT and Thruway Authority to evaluate their performances at a public hearing.

Ryan is holding a meeting at his office on Delaware Avenue (936 Delaware Ave, Suite 5today at 2 p.m. and is asking members of the public to attend.
