7 Cares for the Community: Rock Out Hunger

Posted at 4:52 PM, Nov 24, 2014

Because of last week’s historic snowstorms, DJ Jickster of 97 Rock was unable to start his Rock Out Hunger campaign on time, which has affected how many turkeys have been donated.

7 Cares for the Community and we want to help DJ Jickster. We will be LIVE at 5 p.m. on Monday at the trailer he lives in during the campaign outside Eastern Hills Mall, as well as Tuesday morning from 5 a.m. until 7 a.m., to raise awareness about Rock Out Hunger.

DJ Jickster will live in the trailer at 4545 Transit Road in Williamsville until 10 a.m. Wednesday. He’s taking donations anytime – 24/7 – but if you can’t make it, you can almost make donations at any First Niagara Bank branch under “7 Cares for the Community," by mail at 7 Cares for the Community, c/o First Niagara Bank, POX 527, Lockport, N.Y. 14095, or online at FoodBankWNY.org.

Food donations collected will be distributed to families to provide them with holiday meals. Donations are needed now more than ever. During last week’s snowstorms, the Food Bank provided meals to families trapped inside their homes.
