A 4-year-old drowned in a Chautauqua County pool Tuesday afternoon.
Police in the Town of Ellicott were called to a home on Water Street for the report of a possible drowning victim. Rescue crews took the child to the hospital, but the child wasn't able to be revived.
Town Police tell 7 Eyewitness News the child had been playing in a yard and was just out of sight of the parents and able to climb into the pool. The family had used the pool earlier in the day.
