More than 800 dogs and their two-legged friends came out Sunday for the SPCA Serving Erie County's 25th annual Paws in the Park.
The event takes place at Beaver Island State Park and includes a two-mile walk, food and drinks, more than 50 vendors and competitions.
Organizers say the event has really evolved over the years.
"It started out as a small dog walk with some hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and it's grown the this," said Communications Manager Bethany Kloc. "We have dog contests. This year we have a duck herding contest, we demonstrate dog CPR, so its really grown and it's so exciting."
Participants paid $25 ahead of time and $40 the day of the event. All of the money goes to support the SPCA Serving Erie County.
