BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — "[It's] triple maybe four times more what we would do on a normal day."

From about 3:30 until 7 on Halloween night, the ovens at local pizzerias will be churning out pizzas for hungry trick-or-treaters.

The Pizza Heist in Lancaster and Picasso's Pizza are both preparing for one of their biggest nights of the year.

This includes adding more staff, and getting the dough ready, along with mentally preparing for a few crazy hours.

How do you beat the rush?

"Get some pizza and wings before [people] head out trick-or-treating, so it's a time crunch for us," said Mark Digiore, Chief Marketing Officer of Picasso's Pizza.

Many people have the same idea.

"[People say] let's get a pizza it's the quickest simplest way to feed a bunch of people fast," said Michael Heist, Owner of The Pizza Heist. "Nobody does a lot of pre-ordering, nobody is thinking of how busy Halloween is until they show up and there's a line out the door."

So if you know you're getting pizza for dinner for Halloween, call ahead of time at least a few hours before to help out the pizzerias so you're not waiting in line forever.
