BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The craft beer industry is booming and it's gotten even bigger in Buffalo in the past month. Froth Brewing Company and Belt Line Brewery & Kitchen have both been in operation for the last four weeks and Buffalo's beer drinkers have surpassed their expectations.

“We like to go the extra mile with certain things that we do, we won’t spare any expense on ingredients, if we really want to make something, we’re going to do it," Head Brewer at Belt Line, Erik Greiner, said.

Belt Line is located on Swan Street near Seneca Street and offers an urban vibe with a set of garage doors allowing for outdoor accessibility in the summer months.

“We have beer styles that are very approachable for the novice beer drinker all the way up to the beer geek crowd," Co-owner of Belt Line, Mark Boccabella, said. “Once we finally hit some nicer weather and these doors open up, I think opportunity are endless for us here.”

Froth Brewing Company is located off Military Road and features a west coast style with roots in San Diego and also offers a similar indoor/outdoor combination.

“We just tried to put our own little spin on it, tried to make it as comfortable as possible try to do our own style of beers. Try to do our beers the best way we can and how we enjoy ‘em," co-owner of Froth Brewing Company, Jesse McLaughlin, said. “We’ve had a lot of support from the community, Riverside, North Buffalo, Kenmore, Grand Island and downtown."

McLaughlin says for the moment Froth is focused on evolving by developing beers with 'soft body' and 'hoppy aromas' specializing in beers with higher alcohol percentages.

The two breweries add to the now 20 plus breweries in and around Buffalo.
