BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Tappo Italian Restaurant wants to celebrate winter instead of staying locked up inside, Rocco Termini, Owner of Tappo Italian Restaurant said.

That's why they have six heated igloo structures on top of their rooftop for people to dine in.

The globes can fit eight people and will serve a set family style menu for people that make reservations. Hot specialty drinks, including Whiskey Hot Toddies, Irish Coffees and Caramel Apple Cider will also be served on the rooftop. To make a reservation people can call the restaurant or visit the Tappo website.

"We want it to be like a snowglobe," Termini said. "The ones you get for Christmas and you shake them and the snow is all around it... that's what it's going to look like in here."

Being the first to bring the Igloos to the Queen City was something that Partner and Chef Philip Limina wanted, within two-weeks of the initial idea, the spheres were being assembled.

The igloos will make their debut on New Year's Eve and will be around for the remainder of the winter.
