BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — It's time to get into the spirit of Halloween and what better way to do that than to get scared at a haunted house, especially one that helps animals.

For the third year, 870 Lee Drive in North Tonawanda will be hosting a haunted house right in their backyard. Last year the King family collected cans for the North Tonawanda food pantry. This year, they are asking people to make a $5 donation and all of those proceeds will go to helping the Niagara County SPCA.

Everyone in the King family is inspired to help make "Niagara Nightmares" a fun Halloween attraction.

"I'm excited to see people's faces when they walk through, I love this time of year, my kids ask me about it in June and July and we plan it all year-round," Kyle King, Builder and home owner said.

15-20 actors make you want to scream after walking through the butcher's shop and electric room. The house will be open this weekend and next weekend and then every night leading up to Halloween.
