It's the busiest time of year for Muscoreil's Fine Desserts.

"Christmas time is absolutely crazy," Claudia Sydoriak, Owner of Muscoreil's said.

Muscoreli's bakes all sorts of desserts from pies, to cookies, to cheesecakes, to muffins. More than 300 pies will be headed out the door in the next two days and in the month of December alone, more than a quarter million Christmas cookies will be enjoyed by all of Western New York.

Sydoriak plans to hire 25 additional seasonal workers to help with the cookie decorating.

The bakery likes to stick with tradition and hasn't changed any of their recipes since Sydoriak took ownership two years ago.

After 37 years as an auditor, Sydoriak wanted a new challenge and thought the bakery was a perfect fit. She handles most of the behind the scenes work and trusts her cake artisans to create the sugary creations.

Sydoriak also wants to bring a few new things to the store. Last March they opened a Bistro that sells panini's, homemade soup, and a variety of other home made goods.

With the busy holiday season Sydoriak urges people to get their orders in early.

"We are always willing to sneak that last customer in and we try to help out anybody," Rebecca Banas, Muscoreli's Pastry Chef said. "We can make sure their holiday is just as great as ours."
