BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — If you're looking to treat your taste buds to a spicy meal, Alibaba Kabob on William Street on Buffalo's East Side may be just what you are looking for.

The authentic Halal food restaurant adds 20-30 spices per-dish offering a mix Mediterranean and Indian cuisine. They offer wraps, rice boxes, and of course, Kabobs.

"That's the taste from back home and that's the taste we want to bring here," Anand Kattu, Owner of Alibaba Kabob said.

Kattu has called Buffalo home for 20-years and two-years-ago, wanted to bring the taste of India to the Queen City. Kattu said he wanted Alibaba Kabob to very authentic and completely homemade.

To do this, Kattu has two traditional tandoor ovens from India. The 500 degree clay oven help makes fresh and bubbly naan (flatbread) and cooks up the most popular dish of Chicken Tandoori.

Halal food describes how meat is prepared. Healthy animals are killed and then are drained of their blood completely which makes the meat healthier, Kattu said.

People can order online here or go to the restaurant.
