NEW YORK (WKBW) — Come August 16-18, a major lineup of musical acts will be headed to Upstate New York to remake history.

The Woodstock 50 reunion festival will take place at the 1,000 acre International Speedway in Watkins Glen.

After months of online rumors, the official lineup for the festival was announced on Tuesday on the event's website. Headliners include Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, and The Killers. Santana and The Grateful dead performed at the 1969 concert and will return for the revival.

The original Woodstock took place in August of 1969. Half a million people attended to see artists from Jimi Hendrix to Janis Joplin. Woodstock 50 will take place about 115 miles northwest of the original site.
