WNY's spring weather is about to take us for another rollercoaster ride again this week as we start with temps warm enough for shorts and finish with some communities shoveling slushy snow! Here's a the highlights of the hills and valleys ahead.
MONDAY
Right out of the gate the mercury will rise into the 60s even teasing us with some sunshine, but tonight the threat of T-Storms replaces the tranquil afternoon.
TUESDAY
Wet & windy weather system will have umbrellas UP & DOWN through the day. Winds will increase to 25mph with 45mph gust officially reaching "Bad Hair Day" levels by mid afternoon. Tuesday has one thing going for it as the temperature will remain near 60F.
WEDNESDAY
This will be another nice one for outdoor activities as both the rain and wind take a break allowing for some sun and 50s for highs.
THURSDAY
Opening Day for the Buffalo Bisons may have to wait as a very wet weather system will soak WNY with more than and inch of rain and temperature begin to tumble by the end of the day.
FRIDAY
If you were hoping for a fantastic Friday finish... Mother Nature has a slushy spring surprise in store for you! As temperatures drop into the 30s, the hills south of Buffalo will begin to see slushy snow start to stick to the ground and cover the cars during the day into the start of Saturday. Several inches are expected on the hills with even the lower locations likely seeing at least some flakes.
NEXT WEEK
Not wanting to leave you on a snowy note... the weekend will rebound back into the 50s with some sunshine returning by Sunday... and it looks like WNY will spend some well deserved time in the 70s early next week!
Here's the link to follow through the week as the 7 First Alert team tracks the storms into and out of WNY.
