You'll need the umbrellas for the morning commute into work as a line of showers sweeps through. There will be a good period of dry weather during the afternoon. Expect a breeze and humid day.

However, the wettest part of the day will be from mid-afternoon through the evening hours. Some of these showers and thunderstorms will contain heavy downpours and could stay over an area, creating some flooding issues for flood-prone areas.

There is also a severe weather threat for Chautauqua County during the late afternoon and evening. Gusty winds are the main threat within some of the thunderstorms.

A cold front will rush cooler air into Western New York late Tuesday night. You can expect daytime highs into the low 70s Wednesday with some lingering showers.
