BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The high temperature today of 94 degrees ties the record high for this date. The current record was set in 1988.

This marks our 5th straight day of high temperatures at or above 90 degrees. The record for consecutive 90 degree days in a row is 7 set in 1988. Forecast highs are expected to be in the 90s for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday so that record is in jeopardy.

Humidity levels will increase as the week moves along so expect the heat index to be near 100 degrees.
