May 2018 will go into the record books.
In more than 145 years of record keeping at the National Weather Service, this will go down as the hottest May in Buffalo history.
As of Wednesday, the average temperature this May is 64.6F. The previous record was 63.4F set back in 1991.
Daytime temperatures in the low to mid 80s Thursday will secure that record.
