Autumn's Forecast: Shifting bands of heavy lake rain continue

Most of the bands settle south tonight. 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible in spots.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Heavy areas of lake rain will continue into tonight, mainly south of Buffalo. Some areas could see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rainfall.

This evening lake effect rain is firmly entrenched across Buffalo to Batavia south to Dunkirk and inland to Warsaw. This band will begin to sag southward through the evening and end up across the S.Tier overnight. Many areas this evening under this heavy lake effect rain have received an additional 1-2" of rain.

The steadier lake effect rain will be south of Buffalo for the day Thursday but rounds of showers will be possible across WNY. It'll be breezy and cool with temperatures near 50.
