Cool weekend ahead. But warmth is on the way!

You may want to head on down to Canalside and lace up this weekend, because it may be the last time you will be able to skate outside this year! Spring-like temperatures arrive early next week! Yes, we're talking 50s and 60s!

Unfortunately, cool temperatures stick around for the weekend. That doesn't mean you can't head outside and enjoy some of the activities. Today's a great day to head out to Allentown for First Fridays! Yes, a little on the cold side this evening. But you'll be able to enjoy what should be a great sunset this evening!

Clouds will move in on Saturday. You can expect a few flurries, mostly south of Buffalo during the afternoon. If you're heading down to the First Niagara Center to watch the Sabres take on the Wild Saturday, it'll be an easy walk into the arena!

If sports isn't your thing, the Buffalo Zoo is having their annual Zooper Saturday. Just like First Fridays, the Buffalo Zoo holds Zooper Saturday the first Saturday of every month.

The brightest day out of the weekend will be Sunday. Winds out of the southwest will bring in milder air into the region. Highs will be close to 40F. Great day for outdoor activities!

Monday will get close to 50F. Most of Western New York will be in the 60s for both Tuesday and Wednesday. However, if you live near the shores of Lake Erie, including the city of Buffalo, temperatures will be in the 50s. You can thank a cold lake for that.
