BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Once again we are watching another system that will impact our weekend here in WNY.

Just like last weekend, this storm will depend greatly on the temperature. A few degrees warmer or cooler could drastically change how much rain or snow we'll see this weekend.

The latest model runs have indicated several inches of snow possible for the higher elevations south of Buffalo. We could see some freezing rain early on Saturday across the Southern Tier as well.
We're expecting 3-6" of snow for the Southtowns and the Southern Tier. Higher elevations will see the higher snow totals. Buffalo and the northern suburbs can expect about a Trace to 2" of snow. These snow totals are from 5am Saturday through 11pm Sunday. It won't be a major event but there will be enough snow to slow travel this weekend.

The 7 First Alert Weather Team will continue to update the forecast as we get closer to the weekend.

Saturday: Early rain changing to snow, Trace-2" totals.
Sunday: Snow likely with another 1-4" of snow. Higher snow totals will be south of Buffalo.
