(WKBW) — Another comfortable morning before the heat will ramp up under an area of high-pressure Wednesday afternoon as highs rise into the mid-upper 80s as humidity also begins to rise. Lower 90s are possible on Thursday with much more humidity. The heat index values likely rising between 95-100 degrees especially across the Niagara Frontier. The record high on Thursday is 91 degrees set in 1945.
The area of high-pressure will begin to break down late on Thursday which will allow scattered showers and thunderstorms to move into WNY Friday.
