BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Quiet and cold night across WNY as temperatures fall into the single digits. Tuesday starts quiet and cold with increasing clouds. Expect light snow showers to arrive into the afternoon and continue into the afternoon commute with minor accumulations. Gusty winds accompany the snow with gusts over 30-35mph.

Winds turn southwesterly into the evening with a couple inches within the lake band between Buffalo and the northtowns. Rain may mix in close to the lakeshore limiting Metro Buffalo accumulation.

Snow will mix with rain at times on Wednesday. Wednesday will be a messy day with a rain/snow mixture at times. Winds may gust near 50mph at times. Higher elevations likely remain as all snow with the highest totals into Wednesday evening.
