BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) —

Warmer temperatures settle into Western New York through Thursday before rain and cooler air arrive Friday.

After a cloudy start to the week, brighter weather is on the way for Western New York.

Skies will gradually clear Tuesday afternoon, allowing temperatures to warm up and sunshine to make a welcome return a bit later in the day.

A Stretch of Pleasant Fall Weather

The middle of the week looks great for outdoor plans.

High temperatures on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will climb into the 70s, which is a few degrees above average for late September. Expect a mix of sunshine and comfortable conditions during this stretch. Thursday might have a taste of showers if the cold front gets a little closer to our neck of the woods.

Changes Arrive Friday

The dry weather won't last forever.

Rain chances return on Friday as the next weather system moves into the region. Along with the showers, temperatures will trend cooler heading into the weekend.
