BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The two-goal lead is the worst lead in hockey. The U.S. learned that the hard way after a 6-4 loss to Canada to open this year's World Juniors.

Canada scored four straight goals to erase an early 2-0 U.S. lead. The U.S. rallied in the third period, but ultimately came up short.

Two Sabres prospects were on the ice for Thursday's game: Dylan Cozen had three shots on goal for Canada and Mattias Samuelsson had 17 minutes of ice time for the U.S.

The U.S. plays again tomorrow when they take on Germany at 1:00 p.m.
