The University at Buffalo men's basketball team made their way to Rhode Island Tuesday morning. They take on No. 3 Miami (Florida) Thursday in Providence.

They were sent off in chants, hugs and high-fives.

On Sunday the No. 14 seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament found out they'd face No. 3 Miami in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The UB men say they've been studying Miami and they're more than prepared.

"I feel like it's a good experience," said CJ Massinburg a freshman point guard. "Not too many people in life get to do this. I'm pretty blessed to get to do it in my freshman year. I think the team is excited and ready to get the job done."

UB earned their spot in "the big dance" by topping Akron in Saturday's Mid-American Conference Championship game.

Willie Conner believes both teams can win despite naysayers.

"Just wait on it. Just wait on it," said Conners.

The Bulls and Hurricanes will play on Thursday at 6:50 p.m.
