BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — John Tavares will be back behind the bench when the Buffalo Bandits kick off their upcoming season in a few weeks.
The Bandits announced Tavares will return as head coach of the team following a 14-4 season where the team made it all the way to the NLL Championship. This will be Tavares' fifth year on the coaching staff and second year as head coach.
Rich Kilgour's contract was not renewed. Instead, General Manager Steve Dietrich will serve as Tavares' assistant and will oversee the team's defense. Rusty Krueger (assistant and offensive coach), and Anthony Cosmo (goaltending coach) will also return to the team for this season.
The Bandits kick off the season on Saturday, December 7th when they host San Diego at 7 p.m.
