Sabres sign forward Karabacek

Posted

The Buffalo Sabres announced Thursday that they've signed forward Vaclav Karabacek to a three-year entry-level contract.  He was drafted by the franchise in the second-round (49th overall) in 2014.

He'll most likely suit up for AHL Rochester next season.

The 20-year-old scored 18 goals and 12 assists in 47 games last season.  He split the campaign between Baie-Comeau and Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior League.

He is the last junior player from the Sabres 2014 draft class to sign with the team.  The deadline to do so is June 1.
