Sabres add legendary prep coach behind the bench

Dan Bylsma completed his coaching staff on Friday by hiring one of the most well-known coaches from one of the best prep programs in the United States.

The Sabres announced they have hired Tom Ward as an assistant coach.  He comes to Buffalo after leading prep team Shattuck St. Mary's as their head coach for the past 18 seasons. 

Among the players Ward has coached include: Sidney Crosby, Kyle Okposo, Jonathan Toews, Zach Parise, Nathan MacKinnon and Drew Stafford.

The Sabres also hired Adam Nightingale as video coach.  He's also worked for Shattuck St. Mary's and Michigan State.
