On loan to Sweden from Rochester for the 2017 International Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, Alex Nylander scored twice to power his home country to a 6-1 win over Denmark in the opener on Monday.
Nylander opened the scoring in the first period and tallied his second in the third to give Sweden a 6-0 advantage.

Sweden is chasing it's first title since 2012. Nylander tallied four goals and five assists as Sweden finished fourth overall in 2016.
Drafted 8th overall by the Sabres in the draft in June, he has 17 points (5G, 12A) in 29 games with the AHL affiliate Amerks.
