How much does a piece of hockey history cost? $39,112.

Bidding on Jack Eichel’s first game-worn jersey quickly escalated after the auction kicked off on January 1 with a starting bid of $250.

The #15 home jersey was worn by the Buffalo Sabres rookie between October 8 - November 25, 2015. It comes with a commemorative first NHL game jersey patch sewn in on the inside.

All proceeds will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
