The Bandits, who set a franchise record with 13 wins during the regular season, finish the year unable to end an eight year postseason drought.
Trailing 2-0 early, Buffalo rallied back and took a 4-3 lead into the second on a goal from Dhane Smith.
The forward finished with two goals and four assists in the loss.
Tied at 10 in the 4th, netminders Anthony Cosmo and Aaron Bold kept each respective offense at bay before Cornwall's game winner.
