DEPEW, N.Y. (WKBW) — There's a new champion on the bowling alley.
On Sunday afternoon, Lackawanna's Jack Jurek won the 2019 George A. Obenauer Masters Tournament. The tournament was held at AMF Lancaster Lanes.
Jurek won the winner's bracket and faced off against Tonawanda's Mike Sanzone in the final round. Jurek, needing to win just one three-game series, topped Sanzone by a 623-621 score. It was his first event win since 1999.
With the win, Jurek gets a paid entry to the 2020 USBC Masters. That's set to be played from March 23rd through the 29th in Reno, Nevada.
