For the 31st year IndyCar is returning to Toronto.
The course, which measures 1.75 miles, is set up on the edge of Lake Erie and winds around BMO Field (home stadium of FC Toronto) and the Marlie's arena, RICOH Coliseum.

The fastest lap ever recorded at the track was record in 1999 by Gil de Ferran in 57.143 seconds.
Drivers typically hit speeds between 170-180 miles per hour. 7 Eyewitness Sports Reporters Nick Filipowski and Matt Bove each got to take a lap around the course, and while they didn't hit racing speeds, they were treated to a fast ride around Toronto.

Practices begin Friday at 8 a.m. on the course. The official race is set for Sunday at 3:40 p.m.
