Following a one-year stint at a prep school, a former basketball standout in Western New York officially made his choice about his next stop of his basketball journey. And he's staying local.
Takal Molson, formerly of St. Mary's High School, made his official signing on Wednesday afternoon at Health Science Charter School, and will be attending Canisius College to play basketball for head coach Reggie Witherspoon.
"I came a long way, a long way. Been through a lot," Molson said just a moment before he signed. "Everybody in this room helped me through it. My mom, little brother, pretty goddaughter, and I just really appreciate everything. Can't wait to get to Canisius. I've got a great home there."
Molson spent the past year at TAAG Academy in Florida, before committing to and signing with Canisius this spring.
