On the track, when it comes to the pentathlon, there is nobody better than Sweet Home's Tiana Luton.
The senior posting the top score in the country with 3,529 points at the Depew Invite on Thursday.
The pentathlon includes the hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800 meter run.
The former Super 7 Athlete of the Week was ranked as high as fourth in the nation as a junior and is satisfied to see her hard work pay off.
“It definitely feels pretty good but there is still a lot of work that I need to do and still a lot of goals that I do need to hit," she said. "It's all right being number 1, but there is still a lot of work to be done."
Luton will continue her track career in the Big Ten at Michigan.
