BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The stakes were high at KeyBank Center as WNY teams fought to extend their seasons.
The small school final started the day; Starpoint topped WIlliamsville South 3-1 behind a strong third period. The Spartans will play at Buff State next weekend.
Another set of Spartans followed Starpoint's win with a win of their own; Will North dominated Orchard Park 5-1. Three goals in the first period propelled North head coach Bob Rosen to his 500th win.
The night cap saw St. Joe's shut out St. Mary's 4-0. Three goals in the first five minutes put the Marauders in the driver's seat the rest of the way.
