As Wednesday came to a close, the first round of the Section VI boys basketball playoffs is now over with.
In Class AA, seventh-seeded Orchard Park took care of business against Frontier, the 10-seed. The Quakers collected a 63-53 victory, and will now advance to take on second-seeded Lancaster on Friday night.
Hamburg played host as the eight seed in their Class A matchup against ninth-seeded Hutch Tech, and although they needed a big fourth quarter, came away with the 79-70 victory. Next up, they'll take on the top-seed in the Class A-1 bracket, Williamsville South.

The Section VI quarterfinals will take place on Friday night around Western New York.
