The Nardin Academy softball team reached the Catholic state championship game on Tuesday in Queens. However, the Gators couldn't capture the ultimate prize.
Nardin beat St. Francis (Brooklyn/Queens) 7-3 in the semifinal.
The Gators lost to Sacred Heart (Hempstead) 4-1 in the title game.
Nardin, the Monsignor Martin champion, ends its season with an overall record of 12-5.
