Jordan Barr's buzzer beater lifts Amherst to A2 Championship over South Park

Tied at 53 with seconds on the clock, Amherst's Jordan Barr was in the right place at the right time.

The 6-foot 4-inch senior, collected a rebound and put back the game winning basket to lift Amherst to a 55-53 win over South Park in the Section VI A2 Championship.

The Tigers raced out to a quick start, opening the game on an 11-0 run, before the Sparks closed to within 15-10 at the end of the first.

Trailing by eight heading into the third, the South Park erupted for 20 points in the quarter to tie the game up at 40.

Down four in the final minutes of action, former Super 7 Athlete of the Week Shakur Harris hit a three, helped steal the ensuing inbounds for another Sparks' bucket to put South Park up 52-51.

Amherst will now play the winner of the A1 Championship between Williamsville South and North Tonawanda.
